Belabor Day

The other night I noticed that Orion is back. All August I'd forgotten to watch for him rising before dawn. Now that my neck is slightly less stiff than it was for a while, I just happened to look up for a moment and there he was, already well above the treetops more than an hour before first light. Most years I mark his first appearance much earlier. That's another big chunk of this summer that's gone missing, along with my ability to think clearly and the flexibility of my joints. It's all been very tiresome. I want it fixed now!
