Today was the first head-yanking day of spring. The appointment was in the afternoon. My head yanked nicely and then I came home and made dinner and after dinner had a brief walk and, what do you know, the day is used up!

I'm still a bit stunned by the greenery and the suddenness of its onset. It feels almost like one of those old cartoons in which a barren winter landscape vanishes as leaves and flowers and birds all pop into existence at once. Now it's being day after day of warm air, fluffy clouds, and gusty breezes, followed by and night after night of cool air, waxing moon, and frog songs.
