Though the sun emerged late this afternoon, it lacked the power to relieve the ground of its burden of snow. Now crusty, the white mantle will remain at least until tomorrow, when rain is expected to attack it. In fact the prediction is for another rather fierce storm, bringing strong winds and thus yet another chance of downed utility lines. Also, the storm clouds began arriving fairly early this evening, so I probably won't be seeing the moon tonight. I guess I'll watch television.
