So the Pacific Ocean has been sucked into the air by an enormous storm that will arrive here sometime tonight or early tomorrow. The small storm which lately passed has left behind air cold enough to have silenced the frogs who sang through recent nights. There could be snow again. Strong wind is expected, so there's a chance we'll end up without electricity for some time again. I'll probably be dead by Sunday (this last claim may be slightly overwrought.) Somebody at Britain's Virgin TV seems shocked... shocked... to discover that a poll comissioned by them has produced evidence of cultural shortcomings, which they then feel compelled to deplore! Then they misspell "Dickens" on their web page. Comedygold gilt!
