I'm sure the carbon monoxide in the air from the fires is making me stupid. Stupider. In fact if it continues I'll soon qualify for employment at AT&T. I'm also surprised that dozens of people aren't falling down dead from the smoke. Even with all the windows closed and the air conditioner cycling on a couple of times an hour, the house still reeks of burning. All afternoon the sun was like an orange lantern. You could stare right at it.

Everything is suspended like the smoke until he fires are out. Until I can have the windows open to fresh air again I'm going to be very, very cross.
