My clock has started lying. The hour hand got knocked out of its proper place and now shows at mid-hour when it should show the hour. I thought it was going on eleven and it's almost midnight. It would probably be sensible to set it so that it looks half an hour fast instead of half an hour slow. I suppose I'll have to replace it, though.
The cicadas are persistent little bugs. After being silent during the recent cold nights they have started buzzing again, though few are left. But so far I've found no cicada cadavers. Any night now there'll probably be a heap of them in the sink on the back porch. I prefer to see the kitties on the back porch.
