Alger caught a small bird this evening. He tossed the carcass about while his two litter-mates watched. I didn't stick around to see if he ate it, or if he shared it with the other kitties. At least he knows how to hunt. I'll be more careful when I go out now. He might be seeing me as a potential kill.
The sun failed to make an appearance this afternoon, though at dusk a doorway-shape opening appeared in the overcast western horizon through which a pale pink light glowed for a few minutes. I'd have liked to go through it, but the horizon is always too distant.
Portia has the hiccups. I don't recall ever seeing a cat get hiccups before. Maybe I should scare her. That's easy enough.
Head-yanking tomorrow afternoon.
