Complaints

The poppies are having more fun than I am. They bask in sunshine while I yank foxtails from around them. I suppose I could take pleasure in the fact that the foxtails aren't having fun. They do get some revenge by making me itch, though I doubt they experience shadenfreud as I do. And I can take a bit of consolation fromt heknowlede that at least nobody is yanking me out by the roots yet. But who knows what might happen tomorrow?

I would like to say that If I'm to be yanked out by the roots, I hope it doesn't happen until after the jasmine blooms. I look forward to the jasmine as compensation for all the sneezing spring inflicts on me.

And May is my favorite month! Just wait until I have to endure the torrid days of August.
