Chilled

Portia took a nap in a box that had a pair of deteriorating latex gloves in it, and she got a few gobs of melted latex stuck in her fur. I had to cut some of the fur off, but had to wait until she was relaxed enough to let me get close to her with the scissors. By that time she had already licked quite a bit of the stuff out. I hope it doesn't make her sick.

The mild weather is ending. Rain might begin soon, and will certainly be here tomorrow. There will be gusty wind. The patched roof will get its first serious test. Then, on Tuesday night the local temperature is expected to drop below freezing for the first time this season. Plus daylight saving time ends tonight. It's definitely starting to feel wintry.
