Popped

As I expected, one poppy was blooming today. Tomorrow should bring several more. But for some reason there are fewer plants growing this year, so I don't think the crop will reach the 100+ blossom peak it reached last year. Too bad. I was hoping each year would bring a bigger crop, until at last the entire back yard would be one field of poppies. I guess I won't get my Wizard of Oz moment after all.

Something I must get is new batteries for my mouse. The ones I'm using now won't take a charge that lasts more than a few hours anymore. And it still takes 13 hours to charge them. If I don't get them replaced tomorrow, odds are I won't be able to post anything. I've never bothered to learn all those keyboard commands, so I'm helpless without the mouse.

I haven't seen Alger in three days. Farah won't let him near the kittens. Poor Alger is virtually homeless. I hope he'll be OK.
