I'm beginning to think that winter has gone into hibernation. Each day is predicted to be cooler than the previous day, but turns out to be about as warm. Nothing is blooming yet— except the irises, of course, but the irises are in the habit of blooming at odd times— but I'm expecting buds to appear on plants that usually don't get them until March. The other day I had a fly in the house. Today I got buzzed by a bee in the yard! Two or three more days of this and I wouldn't be surprised if the camellias were to suddenly bloom. Well, if we get a seventy degree day I intend to make iced tea and open all the windows. I'm really missing the rain, leaky roof notwithstanding.
