Shut Up

It was supposed to get into the high seventies today, but has only gone to 67 degrees. I'd hoped I was done with the furnace until fall, but the house hasn't gotten enough heat today to stay even marginally comfortable tonight, so I guess I'll have to have it on. The sky has been only partly cloudy, so the cold must be from a mass of air coming down from the north. The bright sunlight and cool air is a rather disorienting combination in May, and it comes on top of last night's disorienting misapprehension of evening as morning, so I'm now feeling quite displaced. Plus I only got about four hours of sleep last night, My brain doesn't function well when sleep-deprived and displaced, so I'll shut up now.
