The Buzz

It sounds like the cicadas are right outside my window. They might be coming to get me. I'd better not sleep tonight. But then how could I sleep with all that racket the cicadas are making? They defeat their own malevolent purpose by being so loud. Unless of course their purpose is to make my nerves so raw that I run screaming into the night where they can jump on me. And me with no insect repellent on hand.

There was something else I was going to say, but the buzzing drove it right out of my head. Stupid bugs.
