The Calm

Overcast lingered most of the day, but a bit of sunshine arrived in the afternoon. Now the chilly air has grown misty, but there probably won't be any rain. Tomorrow the very cold weather begins, and it is expected to last for more than a week. Snow is almost a certainty by Friday night, and there is apt to be more snow the following week. There's a very good chance that this will turn out to be the December from Frozen Hell. I'm not looking forward to it. That said, I'm enjoying this gentle mist while it lasts. It might be the last weather I enjoy for quite some time.
