Uh oh

Uh oh. Here comes the pine pollen. Sweeping the back porch this morning I saw the telltale sprinkling of fine, yellow dust. As the day wore on my nose got runnier and I sneezed more and more and started getting achy. The next few days will probably be pretty bad. I won't be able to wash the pollen off the pavement either, because of the restrictions that have been imposed on water use. Every little breeze will send it flying. It was very breezy most of the morning and I'm sure a lot of the stuff got into the house. I have to have the windows open tonight, too, because the house got pretty warm today. What a time for the rain to desert us.

Well, if I can get through the next week without sneezing my brains out I'll probably be okay for the rest of the season. The pine pollen is usually the worst for me. It would be a great time for a vacation at the beach, but that isn't going to happen. I hope everybody bought stock in Kimberly Clark. I'll be using a lot of Kleenex.
