Blast

The air conditioning is on, because the house got up to 82 degrees. It's only supposed to be 105 here today, but because the house never got below 72 last night it already feels hotter than yesterday's 108. My guess is that everybody has their air conditioner on, and that means a power outage is likely, and that means I should shut down the computer and unplug everything non-essential. When the house gets down to 78 I might be able to sleep until the worst of it is over— for today. It's going to top 100 again tomorrow, and stay in the 90s the rest of the week. July got here two days early. Even the afternoon breeze is hot. I long to be comatose. I'm too old for this shit.
