Recovering
Jul. 16th, 2014 11:12 pmA tiny, pale spider is busy spinning a web between my desk lamp and my computer monitor. I'm letting her have her way. Tiny spiders are not threatening, and really rather fun to watch. The spider's work is probably in vain, though, as I'm sure it won't belong before Portia climbs onto the desk and destroys the web. She can't resist walking on my keyboard. It must be like a kitty foot massage.
The evening is cooling off nicely, though there are a few clouds hinging about. Last night I forgot to open the living room windows, so the room was uncomfortably warm this morning and has remained so all day. I could have used the air conditioner but decided not to. It's been on too much recently. Tonight I made sure to open the windows. It's going to be the coolest night in more than a week, and I don't want to miss it.
An unintentional nap made me late for everything this evening, so this entry will be truncated. I even slept through my dinner time, so now it's time to try to hunt up something to eat— preferably something that doesn't need cooking. Sounds like beans again.
