Watch

Today I got television back, so naturally I fell asleep in front of it and when I woke up totally forgot that it was a watering day for the back yard. I ended up watering by the light of a half moon.I probably made a mess, but by the time I wake up tomorrow the mess will have dried, so I'll never know just how much.

All evening I've been craving donuts, but I have none, nor any way to go get some. If it was a cooler night I'd make brownies, but as warm as it is I'll probably make do with a few of the stale cookies I forgot I had. But here it is September and right around the corner is October, and that will surely bring some brownie weather. Plus this autumn there should be fewer leaves to rake because so many of them have already fallen after being killed by the heat. I'm very much looking forward to autumn this year, even more than usual.

Tonight is all insect buzzing and still air. A breeze would be so nice. I don't expect to get one. But at least there's television again.
