Groggy

Waking up from an afternoon nap at quarter past ten at night when you can't remember when the nap began is sufficiently odd that I have to wonder if the nap hasn't become sleep while the sleep has become the nap. I think it was just after six o'clock when I went to sleep, and I think I slept only about four hours last night (around three in the morning until around seven in the morning,) so the two shifts might have been about equal length, but I can't be sure. All I know is I'm as groggy now as I was this morning. That and that I'm quite displeased with myself for letting this happen.

The feral cats aren't too happy with me either, as I slept through their feeding time. Plus I missed the English people murdering one another on PBS, which was happening at a special time (there weren't any English murders on Sunday because of a pledge drive. The pledge drives must be getting powerful if they can now put me to sleep even when I'm not watching them.) Anyway, I'm going to be muddle headed for at least another hour, and then I'm going to spend the rest of the night wishing I were asleep. I think I'll just go watch Americans murdering one another on the Hallmark channel. They are inferior murders, but at least there's an amateur detective from New England, played by an actor who was born in England.

I hope everyone had a nice St. Patrick's Day. Wish I were drunk.
