The day has been devoured. The sun devoured a big chunk of it. There was a high temperature of 86 degrees today. It should be going back down into the high seventies tomorrow, but it will probably take me a week to recover from today's high. I really wasn't expecting it to get that hot. I probably shouldn't blame the sun for all of it, though. More and more politicians are declaring their intention to run for President, and their speeches and the subsequent blather of the news clowns is probably causing at least half the heat.

The worst thing about the day was that I totally forgot that I could have made some iced tea. I've got plenty of tea and plenty of ice, but I was so dazed all day that it just didn't occur to me until a few minutes ago. It's too late now, as the caffeine would keep me awake, and it's getting cooler anyway. I'll just have to wait until the next really hot day to have the first iced tea of the year. The way things are going it probably won't be a very long wait.
