Burning

Sadly, I've had to have the furnace going the last couple of nights, and probably will again tonight. I'm starting to worry about the PG&E bill that will come in November. But at least the water bill will probably be down by a couple of bucks. This morning the ground was still damp in places from yesterday morning's rain. The coolness of the air helps retain it. With luck, I'm now done with watering for the year. More rain is still expected Sunday, too. I'll probably have to get out in it, as I've been unable to arrange transportation to go to the stores tomorrow. But I'll be happy to get wet for the sake of the plants.

I just remembered that it's Thursday (I kept thinking it was Wednesday because I totally lost Tuesday this week) and Thursday is now the night English people murder one another on Sacramento's PBS station. It's Saturday on the Redding station, and later this year it should be happening on both stations on Sundays. I don't know what I'd do without English people murdering one another on television. It's the high point of my week. The BBC really knows what television is for.

Now I have to quickly check if the feral cats need more food. Then let the British slaughter begin!
