Another rainy day brought disruption to my Internet service, but the disruption ended not long after the rain stopped late this afternoon. With my suspicion of the cause fully confirmed, I called AT&T, but their guy won't be out to look at my line until next Monday. Sometime between 8:00 in the morning and 6:00 in the evening, they said. They give themselves I nice, wide window of opportunity, which gives me a whole day of waiting. I haven't been getting up that early for quite a while, so I doubt it will be a pleasant day for me. But I don't want to go on having service disruptions through the whole rainy season, which looks like it might be very long.
They got snow in Saudi Arabia recently, but we haven't had any here yet. The continued mildness here means that the frogs have been croaking loudly every night. When rain isn't falling louder I can listen to them from the back porch. They sound quite numerous now. I hope they don't get their little froggy butts frozen if the weather turns very cold again. But I suppose they'll burrow down into the mud to stay warmish.
I haven't yet done all the catching up I need to do after not having Internet for much of the day, but I haven't had dinner yet either, and dinner is more important than Internet so I'm going to go see what I can find to eat. If I've missed something it will have to stay missed until I can get around to it after eating. As faint with hunger as I feel, I'd probably miss most of what I looked at right now anyway.
