Title Goes Here
Apr. 13th, 2016 10:43 pmWind has risen in advance of the coming storm, and thick clouds have gathered. The storm was supposed to arrive earlier today, but the afternoon remained fairly sunny. I don't know how much of a storm it will be. The predictions are not very promising, so it might turn out to be another mere dripper, but every little bit helps. And if we don't get any heavy rain, well, at least the budding roses won't get battered.
The orange kitty who lives next door to me, and who I hadn't seen for several days, turned up this afternoon. I was glad to see him, even though I've got no shortage of cats, and this one is probably costing me about five or six dollars a month in extra food. I don't know if they feed him too little over there, or if he prefers the food I put out to the food his people put out, or if he's just a big hog. He doesn't fight with my feral kitties, though, so he's welcome to hang out as much as he wants. Besides which one of my ferals hangs out in his yard all the time, so I figure I owe him.
I forgot that today was Wednesday (that happens more and more) and didn't check the new supermarket ads that appeared on the web sites this morning. I have to eat something before I do, though, because I'll imagine buying too much stuff if I look at them when I'm hungry. That's not as bad as actually buying too much stuff when I shop, but it's a big waste of time to be writing stuff down than then having to rethink my bloated list after I've been fed.
No moon or stars are visible in the sky tonight, what with all the clouds, but I have to go out and see if it's raining yet. This is the chilliest night in a couple of weeks, too. It's probably cold enough to snow up in the mountains. Yay for more snow pack. And yay for hot soup, which I'm going to eat now.
