Complaint

This afternoon I had a very late lunch and it disagreed with me. In fact it has been so disagreeable that if it were a person I'd expect it to vote for Donald Trump. It has forced me to postpone dinner, and perhaps skip dinner altogether tonight. If I stay awake long enough to get hungry I'll probably just have popcorn, which is reasonably bland and unlikely to regenerate the upset.

For me, upset stomach is always accompanied by headache, so I've not been good for much of anything today. I suppose I should expect such things to happen more frequently as I get older, but it's damned annoying. And it's especially annoying that it has happened on an otherwise delightful day, cool and breezy and jasmine-scented. Tonight the moon is bright, and I'd enjoy being out in the chilly nocturnal air, but instead I'll be perched in front of the television staying as still as possible. Accursed digestion!
