Forgetting

There was a nice first line sitting in my head, waiting to be typed out, but the computer has gotten so slow that by the time the page opened I had totally forgotten what I was going to say. I guess I'm lucky that I even remembered that I have a journal. Eventually I'm bound to forget that, too. But for now the only thing I really need to remember is that tomorrow is shopping day, and that I should make out the enormous check for the property insurance so I can mail it on the way to the stores.

Oh, there is one other thing I should not forget, and that is to eat something. I got hung up watching television for a couple of hours, and dinner slipped my mind. Most likely I'll have to have recourse to the microwave again, even though it's cool enough that I could have the oven going for a little while. The microwave is faster, and if I don't eat something soon I'm apt to have a blood sugar crash and get light headed. My head's light enough as is, what with lines leaving it and all.

Also the oleanders are watered again, but I fear I let them go too long and they will not get any more healthy blossoms this year. Those that remain are mostly withered and yellow. Even the plants suffer from my forgetfulness.
