Shut up, little crickets.
They won't, though. Not until morning, and over the long run only by day until the really cold weather comes. Tomorrow will not be cold, but it will be considerably cooler than today was, and I'm looking forward to that. I'm looking forward to tomorrow night even more, as it will be getting down into the high fifties. That's probably not cold enough to silence the little crickets, but it will certainly make the house more comfortable.
The other thing I'm looking forward to over the short term is my appointment with the chiropractor Tuesday. The low grade headache is still annoying me, and making the cricket buzz more annoying, too, and I have hopes that the adjustment will end it. If, by chance, it is a sinus-related headache, and not neck-out-of-place-related well, I'm probably stuck with if until who knows when.
Today I overslept again and consequently left the windows open too late, so the house is warmer than it ought to have been. It should be cool enough in a couple of hours, though, and because tomorrow is to be so much cooler than today was there probably won't be much of a repeat of the overheating even if I oversleep again. I'm going to go outside for a while now, since there's nothing worth watching on television anyway. The little crickets are no noisier out there than they are in here. Such piercing chirps they make!
Shut up, little crickets!
