What?

Since waking up this morning I have had two long naps, one of them ending a few minutes ago but which began before sunset. I'm quite surprised that I have slept so much. I wonder if I'm coming down with something?

Anyway, the whole day is gone and the storm has turned more intense, with wind blowing rain onto the back porch so it is soaked from one end to the other. One feral cat is hiding in the cupboard, another is perched atop the lawn mower's clipping catcher basket,which is somewhat protected by a tarp, and the third, after eating something, has vanished into the darkness. Maybe worrying about them will keep me awake for the rest of the night. But I won't count on it.

Right now I'm going to open a can of soup. I don't think I ate any lunch today. There's a bread roll that has to be warmed up as it was baked last Sunday, and as wind is apt to bring a power outage I want to get it done quickly. What a day. What a night.
