Odd Hour

Oh, dear, another day gone missing. More accurately, another evening gone missing. AT seven o'clock I was going to watch a movie and then come back to the computer to write an entry, but fell asleep and didn't wake up until after midnight. I not only slept through the movie I was going to watch, but also the next two movies. Since the day was already gone I decided to just watch the movie that came on just after I woke, and now I'm going to go watch the ending of the movie that came on after that one. My schedule is totally catawampus anyway, so I guess it doesn't matter how late I stay up.

The latest rain storm started very early Friday morning with soft sprinkles, but sometime after dawn turned quite fierce. The wind was bending the pine trees so far I thought one or more might snap, but they have all survived. Right now it's back to sprinkles, but it might turn blustery again. It's very cold out, but probably not cold enough for the rain to turn to snow. There will be no white Christmas here.

There will be no shopping on Sunday, either, as the stores will all be closed for the holiday. I lost track of the dates and had thought that Christmas was Saturday, but being it's Sunday I'll have to make different arrangements. Oh, bother. New Year's Day will be a Sunday as well, but I don't think the stores close for that, so next week won't be disrupted. I'm glad that the holiday disruption season is almost over. After that I'll only have to put up with my personal disruptions, such as sleeping at the oddest hours.
