Reset Forty, Day Three
Apr. 11th, 2022 04:50 amA mild Sunday afternoon found me spending quite a bit of time outdoors, but it also found me sneezing again. The mildness appears to have brought back the spring pollen. It probably won't be back for long, though. Rain is likely today. In fact it began sprinkling not long after midnight, and intermittent sprinkles have continued since. Tuesday will be sunny again, but chilly, and then rain is likely to return on Thursday, and there could be showers on Friday and Saturday as well. It suddenly seems very much like April. It's too bad January and February couldn't have been more like January and February. Even a normal spring, should it continue, will not make up for a nearly rainless winter.
Perhaps it is the rain, but despite a fairly large dinner of three courses, followed by ice cream, all consumed rather late Sunday evening, I found myself craving soup, so I've got a bowl of ramen in the microwave right now.

Well, that was quite tasty, and just the thing for a chilly, rainy night. After this week we might not get any more of those until fall, and I could easily be incinerated by then. I mean the terminal sort of incineration that has grown so common in California, not the pleasant, internal partial-incineration brought on by spicy kimchee ramen. I'm hoping it will help me sleep tonight. First I need to fetch a sleeping hoodie, though, as it's grown quite chilly in here again. I'm sure the furnace will come on before morning. If only the rain would start in earnest. It would be nice to fall asleep listening to it.
