Reset Forty, Day Twenty-Four
May. 2nd, 2022 04:16 amSunday morning I got a few more hours of sleep, and Sunday afternoon I forgot what day it was and almost went out to check the mailbox, but then forgot to do that too, and by the time I remembered that I'd forgotten that, I'd also remembered it was Sunday, so I guess it all worked out. And I didn't even have to go to church. With the time I saved, I treated God's temple (aka my body) to beer and a sandwich, plus macaroni salad and some chips. Oh, and a dill pickle spear. The tongue part of God's temple really likes those. In fact, I think they might be a sacrament. If they're not, they should be, and if anybody knows God, they should whisper that in whatever he has that serves the function of an ear.
My nose was still sneezy and runny Sunday, thanks to that pollen in the air. Other than that, and a bit too much heat, it was a pleasant enough day, aside from me feeling like crap for much of it, which is pretty much normal anymore. I've sort of gotten used to it. Oh, that hurts now, that's new, and that other thing that stopped annoying me for a while is starting up again. That sort of thing. You know. Age stuff. But then I'd go out and hear birds singing (when the freeway noise wasn't drowning them out) and be distracted enough that I'd almost forget about that other stuff. Being unfocused has its good side.
Whoa, I just nodded off and almost mashed my face into the keyboard. That must be a sign that it's time to go to bed. Another hot day today. And I'm sure there something I'm supposed to do. Well, I'll see if I remember it after I wake up.
