Reset Forty-Four, Day Seven
Sep. 19th, 2022 03:26 amSleeping didn't go well on Sunday, and I finally got up about noon, discovering on going out that there had been some sprinkles overnight and the back yard was damp. As the day wore on the rain returned from time to time, each time a bit heavier than the last. Overnight there have been several extended periods of fairly heavy rain. This should ease up and return to intermittent showers through Monday and into Tuesday, and maybe even Wednesday morning. It isn't expected to get very cold, but it won't be getting hot again until the weekend. Thereafter we are likely to have a fairly normal September for the region, with moderately toasty days and somewhat chilly nights.
The reason (or one of them) I didn't sleep well Sunday is because my stomach has been misbehaving. For the second night in a row I didn't feel like eating a big meal, so I just snacked on a few odds and ends. I've thought about opening a can of soup or microwaving a ramen bowl before bed, but don't know if I dare. It's tempting, as this is perfect soup weather, with the rain spattering the windows and gusts of wind humming through the leaves.
Oh, what the hell, I'm going for it. Ramen it is. If my stomach decides to kill me for it at least I'll be out of my misery.
