Reset Forty-Seven, Day Ten

Thursday's evening nap got displaced until quite late, when I let the phone run out of electricity and had to recharge it. It was after midnight, and I'd gotten very tired by then, so I decided to lie down while I waited for the phone to charge enough that I could get my Internet connection back, and I ended up falling asleep and not getting up until after dawn. So, no real surprise. Just reality catching up with me again. I might blame the soothing sound of rain falling, which began Thursday afternoon and continued all night, at least until sometime after I fell asleep. It hasn't been falling this morning, though the sky remains overcast and will probably drip again later.

Right now I'm thinking about making another small batch of pancakes. Stuck with a whole day and no plans, I'm likely to end up eating a lot. In the meantime, the light is quite marvelous, the sky bright but sun concealed, shadows indistinct. It's like being inside a translucent pearl, I imagine. Maybe I'll get less fanciful if I eat.
