Reset Forty-Seven, Day Sixty-Five
Feb. 3rd, 2023 07:15 amThursday I finally got my act together and did the despicable online shopping for clothes. I ordered three pairs of pants, two hoodies, a pair of jogging pants, two pajama bottoms, and a tank top. I probably would have bought a bit more, but I reached the point of shopping exhaustion and had to quit. Unfortunately I didn't get the order in soon enough to get delivery by next Monday, which is when I'd like to go to the bank and the grocery store. The stuff won't arrive until Tuesday. I will still be without wearable pants Monday.
For dinner I made enchiladas again, to use up the last of the sauce, and now I am threatened again by acid reflux. I'm hoping it won't keep me awake. After the horrors of shopping I really need more sleep. There is also something odd going on with my tongue. For the last couple of days it has felt burned, even though I haven't had anything really hot in my mouth. Hot drinks have been the cause of burned tongue in the past, but the only hot drink I have had in weeks is cocoa, and the last time I had that was a couple of days before the burned sensation first turned up. I have no idea what could explain it, unless I've got multiple personality disorder and one of my personalities is going out for coffee and not telling me about it. That's the way I usually explain inexplicable events, but so far I've never found any evidence that this has ever really happened.
It's supposed to rain today, and I did hear some raindrops falling a while ago, for several minutes, though they have stopped now. We'll probably get more later, and there could be some Saturday and Sunday as well. The overcast will keep my room dim, at least, and will also keep the nights from dropping below the forties, so the furnace won't have to run as much. That makes me almost not sad.
