Reset Forty-Seven, Day Seventy-Two
Feb. 10th, 2023 08:14 amInattentiveness made Thursday end strangely, when my phone battery went dead and cut off my Idernet. While I waited for it to recharge enough to let me reconnect, I decided to lie down and let my sore feet rest for a few minutes. Somehow I drifted off to sleep, and though I woke a few times in states of confusion, I kept going back to sleep until after five o'clock this morning. So the unintentional nap turned into an unintentional nearly-full night's sleep, and now I find myself starting a day in the morning, quelle horreur!
Since the day is already, for all practical purpose, a senseless catastrophe, I'm eating a plate of beans and toast for breakfast, washed down with a bottle of Guinness. Because when life hands you lemons, why not eat a British breakfast? It just seems appropriate somehow, even though I myself am more apple-shaped than pear-shaped. Plus beans and toast is not that far from a burrito, which Mexicans eat for breakfast, and since I grew up in Los Angeles I am virtually Mexican anyway. The first song I ever learned to recognize was Celito Lindo, which I'm pretty sure gives me dual citizenship. So ¡Que viva Viernes, hijos de la chingada! Let the disaster begin!
