Reset Forty-Eight, Day Twenty-One
Mar. 7th, 2023 06:47 amQuite a bit of rain fell Monday, and there were even some thundershowers, but I still managed to get some stuff from the store. That didn't workout as well as it might have, as two things I needed were not available and the substitutes were more expensive than what I'd wanted, so I'm actually out about ten bucks more than I'd planned. There was also a major item that was on a buy-one-get-one free deal, which I thought I'd made clear, but apparently didn't, so my niece only picked up one of them. That means I'm also out about seven and a half bucks in merchandise, though not cash, thankfully. I'm not good at explaining stuff anymore. I wish I could still get out and do things for myself, but I suspect those days are gone, so I'll have to get used to things being a little bit off much of the time.
I got an evening nap, which delayed dinner again, and then somehow lost track of time again and now find myself rushed at the last minute before delayed bedtime, while the morning light comes into the sky. That sky today is less overcast than my brain, which feels downright foggy. There might be a bit more rain today, but probably not very much, and we might get a bit more thunder and lightning, (very very frightening) and maybe even some hail. Gang's not all here, though. And the music I've been getting through the night with is not that old, but old enough, being from the 1970s. I've been replaying an Electric Light Orchestra track that I hadn't heard in years. It's more enjoyable than I'd have expected. But OMG, the hair on those guys! And the outfits! What the hell were we thinking in that decade?
