Reset Forty-Nine, Day Ten
Jun. 2nd, 2023 02:30 amThursday I slept a big chunk of the day away, and since it's getting very close to the summer solstice it was a very long day. There were still a couple of hours of daylight left when I got up, but I didn't do anything with them. I am reminded that it has been dry for sometime now, and those plants in the backyard need watering or they will start to die and become a fire hazard. That's what I ought to be doing with my evenings. I like watering. In fact it's the only gardening job I do like, but I keep forgetting to do it.
Another thing I keep forgetting is to open the windows and turn the fan on so the place can cool off at night. Then when I finally remember it's usually time for a nap and I end up lying in a draft and still hot. Why is it so hard for me to establish routines anymore? Oh, right. Getting senile. Well, nothing to be done about it but try to pay better attention. At the moment I just want to pay attention to my pillow though. My head wants to drag the rest of me down with it. I'd better let it have its way or I could end up on the floor.
