Reset Forty-Nine, Day Nineteen
Jun. 12th, 2023 06:03 amSunday evening my Idernetting was interrupted by a sudden thunderstorm. I heard the raindrops on the metal chimneys of the range hood and the fake fireplace first, but a short time late I heard what at first I took to be someone rolling a wheelie bin along the driveway. My false impression was shortly corrected by a sudden, loud thunderclap that sounded like it was right over the apartment. I quickly shut the computer down and went into the bedroom to listen to the storm from the comfort of my bed. I heard a few more thunder claps, though they were farther away, and the rain never amounted to much. But I soon fell asleep in the gathering dusk, and slept until after midnight. I wish I could arrange for more frequent thunderstorms, so I could fall asleep to the sky purring more often.
It's still overcast this morning, but the forecast says nothing about thunderstorms, so I don't know if there will be more or not. I would guess not, though. The days (and nights) will be heating up again soon, as summer nears. We'll be back into the nineties by Wednesday. I'm tired of summer already, and it isn't even officially here yet.
