Reset Forty-Nine, Day One Hundred-Nine
Sep. 10th, 2023 05:48 amThe nights have grown pleasantly cool, and when I remember to open windows and turn on the fan the apartment gets cool enough by morning to make getting to sleep less a chore. But the days are still too hot, and too still too. We have entered a week of days with highs in the nineties, and were the nights not dropping into the sixties it would be intolerable. Saturday the sultriness had me sluggish all day.
It even seemed to be effecting the Idernet, which was so slow I'd practically fall asleep while waiting for pages to load. I did in fact sleep quite a bit, and kept slipping back into a comatose state during my afternoon nap, which turned into an evening sleep, stretching the whole thing out to about six hours. I didn't get dinner until after midnight. It's just as well. It was too hot to eat before then anyway.
But I'm tired again now, not surprisingly, and bed seems very inviting, especially to my butt, sore from sitting in this chair for about five hours straight. I should probably look for another chair. Or at least a comfy cushion of some sort. But not now. Now I have to do this and go to sleep.
