Reset Forty-Nine, Day One Hundred Thirty-Three

After taking a day off, The Stupid returned Wednesday and the evening went seriously pear-shaped. I made some chili, but didn't have the beans I thought I had and ended up using a different variety, and they didn't work out as well as the others usually do, and then I made some miscalculations and those brought their own catawampusness, and finally I once again forgot to recharge my phone and ended up losing Idernet at a crucial moment, then went to sleep while waiting for it to recharge, and didn't wake up until rather late this morning. So today is already off kilter, and there are things to do. I want to get some groceries tomorrow, and have to make the preparations for that event today.

The air conditioner came on again Wednesday, after taking a couple of days off. The heat may be why The Stupid came back when it did too. We're starting a new quartet of hot days with highs in the nineties, so it might stick around. After that it gets cooler again, with some days in the seventies and even a possibility of morning showers on Tuesday. Whatever else betide, it looks more and more like October will not be especially hellish. As long as we don't get wildfires, at least. I can probably live with it. Or die with it. Six of one, half a dozen of the other.

Damn, I've got dishes to do. Totally forgot them too.
