Sunday another temporal displacement dragged me into confusion. I woke up in the dark and looked at the time and thought it was six o'clock in the morning and I had slept through the night and the sun would soon be rising. I went to the kitchen and got my morning orange juice, then fired up the computer and was surprised that the email being downloaded all said pm on it. Why was it downloading afternoon email in the morning?

Yet despite that clue I continued my morning routine, and it wasn't until I looked out the window at seven o'clock and saw no light coming in the sky at all that I finally realized that it was not the machine that was wrong but me. It was only Sunday evening, and I had only been asleep for a few hours Sunday afternoon, not all night. It was the most intense disorientation I've ever gotten from such an experience. For hours I kept feeling as though I had lost a chunk of the past when I had only attempted unsuccessfully to jettison a chunk of the future. Later I slept a couple of hours more, but I'm still feeling oddly displaced. It is weird having your brain fall apart.

My indigestion is still with me, though less intense than it was Sunday. I'll soon be needing to replenish my supply of antacid tablets. I'll also definitely have to be replacing my phone battery soon, as it is recharging very slowly and draining much more quickly than it was just a couple of weeks ago. I'm surprised it has lasted as long as it has, given how much use I give it. It has powered my phone and the Internet hotspot for almost three years now, with at least one full recharge every day. That's over a thousand recharges. It's actually a damned good battery. I'll have to open the phone up and see what brand of battery it is before I order the replacement.

The chilly nights with lows in the mid thirties continue, but days are going to be in the low to mid sixties through the rest of this week. Then a cooler period begins, with a likelihood of showers and maybe some real rain. The rain might continue through Christmas, which means it might be part of the war I've heard is being fought on that beleaguered holiday, once so popular but now on it's last legs thanks to whatever it is that is causing what is called "wokeness" which I would imagine would be something like No-Doz. How that is happening I don't know, but that's what rumor says, and who would doubt rumor?

Anyway, if we can perpetuate Christmas a few more years I might still have a chance for a reinelfturducken (that's a reindeer stuffed with an elf stuffed with a turkey stuffed with a duck stuffed with a chicken) dinner before I die. It's a very important item on my bucket list, so if you see any No-Doz on the shelf at your local drug store just take it down and smash it for me. We need to prevent as many people as possible from getting all "woke" and destroying Christmas before I get my wish. Just think of Tiny Tim and do it! Thanks.

And now I think I need more sleep. My brain feels especially stupid for some reason. Probably that extra donut I ate when I mistakenly thought it was morning.
