Friday proved to be survivable, as I was still alive at midnight, although I don't remember it. I was asleep. Today will be shopping recovery day, although I did quite a bit of recovery overnight. An afternoon nap following the stashing of cold items into the refrigerator and freezer brought enough energy that I was able to fix a fairly large dinner, which turned out better than I'd expected, though once again I lacked the energy to do the cleanup. I was back in bed before midnight, and slept until two o'clock in the morning.
I was still tired though, and remained in bed trying to get back to sleep, but the brain went into hamster wheel mode. Then, around three o'clock in the morning just when I had decided that it was hopeless and I should roll over so I could get up, I got into a position that was so comfortable that I decided to stay there a few minutes and enjoy it, and I went back to sleep and didn't wake up again until after seven o'clock this morning. Dawn was less an event than a slow fade-in, the clouds were so thick.
Now it has been raining for about an hour, and I have things to do. I'd like to do some laundry, but I don't fancy trudging back and forth to the laundry room in the rain, so I'll probably just concentrate on putting away the rest of yesterday's grocery haul. Well, "putting away" by arranging the bags in the living room, since there is so much stuff that I'd never be able to cram it all into the limited cupboard space. I really need to get some sort of storage devices into this place. I've been here five years (!!!) and still haven't got places to put stuff. Or I could just keep putting it off until I die and never need to go shopping again. Six of one....
