Much of Friday I was cursed with a sore neck, putting me out of sorts, and consequently I got next to nothing done. I mean beyond the next to nothing I get done most days. So there's an actual chance that I got less than nothing done, which would mean that something got undone. I started looking around the place a few times to see if I could discover what that undone thing might be, but I never finished the task.
I didn't even finish my Friday afternoon/evening nap. I managed to get to sleep to begin with, but after waking prematurely my neck was too miserable to let the rest of me sleep again. For an hour or so I squirmed, trying to find a comfortable position, and having failed I took my misery to the kitchen to fix a sandwich for dinner. Minimal exertion = minimal neck strain. Also no dishes to do.
More recently I've had a bowl of popcorn. There has been rain falling off and on since about six o'clock in the evening, and I like some nice, hot, buttered popcorn on a rainy night. I'll probably get more such nights through Monday. It's a stream of big storms coming, and though they won't get very cold here in the valley they will still bring a lot of fresh snow to the mountains. That's what we like from January.
It's probably time to try to get to sleep again. My neck hasn't been terribly painful for the last hour or so, and if I'm very careful getting into bed perhaps I can keep it calm long enough for me to drop off. Figuratively, of course. If I were to drop off literally my neck would probably hurt worse from being broken.
Oh, and I reached 79. I never really expected that. Now I have to not expect to reach 80. That should be easier.
