We got lucky Thursday and didn't have any thunderstorms. We'll get another shot at them this afternoon, and I hope our luck holds. It never got very rainy Thursday, a least not while I was awake, though sprinkles and mist were frequent, and I managed to get damp while fetching the mail again. Saturday is supposed to be mostly dry, and Sunday will bring the next chance of serious rain, with between one and two inches predicted for the mini-metropolis, and another half inch or so Sunday night. The problem is tat all this rain is relatively warm, so the Sierra snowpack is only a bit over half of normal for the date, and the long range forecast isn't predicting any significant change. Great news for my heating bill, not so good for next year's water supply.

UPS notified me that my package of tea that I was expecting next Friday will instead be delivered Wednesday, so as of this moment I've only got five days and one morning and half an afternoon to wait before I get to try it. I can already feel the tenterhooks pulling.

Dinner Thursday was sandwiches made with two of those avocados I need to use before they go bad. Three down three to go. They are pretty good avocados, thankfully. So far anyway. Avocados can be problematic, so the remaining three might be not so hot, or even vile. Either way, I have used up the suitable bread, so there will be no more sandwiches. I don't have other ingredients for guacamole, so I'm not sure what I'll be doing with the rest of them. I don't really plan ahead very well anymore. Well, I never did, really, but it's gotten worse. Old is a drag.

Time to see if I can sleep more. Neck is not too sore, headache is mild, and my indigestion is minimal. Any minute now I expect my legs to start itching, because if it isn't one thing it's another.
