Sunday I had to deal with this dumb guy who took something out of the freezer for dinner, then forgot it and ate something else, and then I had to eat the thawed stuff for breakfast today, and I hope I don't get sick from it. The dumb guy should get sick instead. Oh, wait, I'm the dumb guy. Well, I guess I deserve whatever happens to me.
Sunday we got a bit of rain, but it cleared up in the afternoon and most everything got dry, and I was gleefully anticipating going out to the mailbox without getting wet, when I remembered just in time that there is no mail on Sunday, so I saved myself the embarrassment and didn't go. It's too bed because it was sunny and cool, and it would have been a nice little walk. I could have gone just for the walk, but what am I, a high school kid in gym class? Forget it! No excuse, no exercise.
Kohl's offended me last night. I went to the web site and put together an order from the clearance items and when I got to the checkout they weren't on sale anymore. I think the sales might end at a particular time, and the time is determined in Central Time Zone hours, so I got there just a few minutes too late. Anyway I'm pissed off at them now, and wish they had made it clear what hoop I had to jump through to get the sale prices that were being displayed on every page but the checkout. None of that stuff was worth what they usually charge. Later they sent me an email touting the great buys I'd passed up by abandoning my cart. On the Idernet, nobody can hear you laugh as you delete emails.
I was expecting to be awake earlier than I was today, and then get back to sleep, but it didn't work out, so I've been up since four in the morning and now feel tired but not sleepy. I'll have to figure out something to do for the next few hours, and then probably end up sleeping most of the afternoon and wake up in the dark again. I hate that. A few showers might fall this afternoon, and rain overnight and tomorrow. Later in the month only a few days of possible showers are scheduled, and by the middle of the month there will be days with highs in the mid-seventies. Bad news indeed. We need more snowpack. This is looking like the start of another long drought. I'm thinking 2025 could turn out to be a really crappy year. Maybe I won't be around to suffer from it, though. A silver lining to the last cloud! Hooray!
