The light of Saturday is appearing and I just finished eating a slice of French bread pizza as a dinner/breakfast/bedtime snack. Groceries were fetched Friday, and I forgot only three or four things (that I know of so far) and the store was out of but two, so sort of a not-catastrophic irritation. I was tired of course, and slept and then got up and traipsed through the rain to the mailbox, and then slept some more, and now I've been awake for about seven or eight hours and should be ready to sleep some more, and I hope the pizza doesn't give me too much indigestion that would keep me awake. It was tasty though. I'm glad I discovered that the French bread pizza bakes up much better than regular frozen pizza, because that stuff was always such a disappointment.

It's supposed to get rainy again today, which pleases me. I like to listen to the rain in the downspout. This place is too well insulated to let me hear the rain itself, unless there's strong wind blowing it against he windows, but the drips falling through the downspout right outside my bedroom are loud and echoey. After this storm we will get a few warm, dry days, but there could be more rain Wednesday and Thursday. If there is more after that I'll be somewhat surprised. April has rarely been very showery in this region. I'm glad this year has been different so far, but I doubt the luck can hold. So far no highs above the mid-seventies are showing on the long range forecast, but I'm sure it won't be long before the sweltering begins. I'm not looking forward to it. My brain is already fried, and needs no baking.
