Reset Forty-Nine, Day Three Hundred Twelve
Apr. 2nd, 2024 04:12 pmSo I've done it again: Slept odd hours, woke up at an odder hour, then totally forgot where and when I was and what I was supposed to be doing, and so there was not journal entry. I actually spent about eight hours in bed Monday night, and my back and hips and neck feel like it.
There was a text announcing the imminent delivery of my purchase from Best Buy, sometime between ten in the morning and two in the afternoon. In fact there were multiple texts, and I dutifully waited for the arrival of the FedEx truck, but two o'clock came and no delivery, and then three o'clock, and I was about to give up hope and assume that the FedEx driver had either crashed the truck or been kidnapped by aliens, and to be honest, at that point I was almost pleased at the thought of him getting probed, but ant just four o'clock another text finally arrived saying that the package had been delivered at 3:59. There's supposed to be a photo somewhere, but damned if I can find it, but since I've got the actual package I don't much care.
Anyway, since I've been awake since four o'clock this morning and have been doing things in preparation for the package, I'm totally worn our and need a nap, so the actual installation of the items will have to wait. In any case, I'm not at all sure I'll be able to install them, or that if I do they will actually work. A nap will give me a chance to at least dream of them working, and though I'm bound to forget it it will be better than nothing if they can't be installed or don't work. Does that make sense? Probably not, but I'm demented enough now to not care.
Cripes, it's 75 degrees out today. Rain is still possible tomorrow and the next two days, but the chances are diminishing. I'll be disappointed if we don't get it. And oh how I dread the prospect of summer.
