I keep forgetting to do this. Well, why should this be different from anything else? Tuesday evening I got ready to fix dinner, but never got around to it, and ended up going to bed (though I don't remember when) and then got up about half past four this morning, though the last hour in bed I was just lying there as the brain hamster ran pointlessly in its wheel. Brain hamster has continued to hop into the wheel periodically all morning. At some point I want to fix last night's dinner, because I am pretty hungry, but I want to wait until my brain can stay focused. Cooking when it keeps going into hamster mode usually ends in disaster.
("This is your hamster. This is your hamster in a wheel. Any questions?")
The high is expected to be 98 degrees today. The fan and windows only got the apartment down to 73 overnight. This might be the day I finally have to break down and use the air conditioner. I was hoping to put that off until June. But this could be a one day thing. Tomorrow's high is supposed to be a mere 89, and it will drop down to 62 overnight, making for more efficient fan-based cooling. Then it's mostly highs in the low eighties and nights in the low fifties for the next two weeks. I can live with that, even if I don't love it.
