Reset Fifty, Day Four
Jul. 15th, 2024 07:59 amSunday night I slept sort of normally, and eventually the night got sort of... I was going to say cool, but no, it just got sort of not so damned hot. It was a nice change anyway, and the apartment is only 76 degrees right now, with the outdoors heading up to 97 today, so yay, not triple digits. I have to do my online grocery shopping, though nobody will be able to pick it up until evening. I also ordered a pair of barber shears from CVS with my 40% off one item coupon. My bathroom scissors, which I use to hack off my hair, have gone missing. I don't know if I misplaced them or the plumbers tossed them in with their tools, but I've needed something a bit better for cutting hair for along time, and this is my opportunity. I should probably get another pair of regular scissors for in there too, since I don't want to screw up the hair scissors by cutting other tuff with them, but that can wait.
Anyway, the worst thing Sunday was an email outage from ATT-Yahoo. They signed me out and wouldn't let me sign back in for hours. I haven't had ATT Idernet since my house burned down, but haven't changed my default email because it's such a hassle. I probably should, since I doubt ATT will want to carry my dead weight indefinitely. I don't expect that I'll ever get a land line again, and I'm perfectly satisfied with my T-Mobile phone and Idernet. During the outage I tried to change my default email at a few web sites, but it turned out to be impossible at a couple of them, and only one was really easy. Tech can be a real asspain sometimes, especially for a technodolt like me.
Time to go order groceries, and hope nothing else goes wrong.
