Reset Fifty, Day Nine

Forgot this again, didn't I? Friday the drywall repair guy was here for a few hours and he still isn't finished, so he's going to be back today. I hear him banging away in the apartment next door right now. I have really bad acid reflux from Friday's tasty but ill-advised dinner, and I don't want to deal with this chaos, but here it is. Also the outside water tap, which I forgot to test until yesterday, is not working, so the plumbers are not really done with their job either, and will have to be back with yet more disruption, sometime next week. It's Murphy's Law of Stupid. If people can be stupid, they will be. And we can.


What I'd like more than anything else (aside from an end to the reflux) right now is more sleep. It's too bad there's no pig, as my life today would make it an excellent breakfast, and here it is just going to waste. And now I'm just going to lie down and at least rest my eyes, and maybe enjoy a bit of fantasy life, until the drywall guy gets here to shift my misery into overdrive. High will be 107 today, though the real horrors will be Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, with triple digit highs and lows in the mid to high seventies. I'll bet that's when the plumbers will be back. Unless of course slow drywall guy isn't done with his job yet. Bugger!
