Sunday brought more sleep, and some odd but not very memorable dreams, but also some old guy stupid, like allowing my phone battery to run dry again, which terminated my Idernet for a while. but I'm over that, and have eaten Sunday dinner (which might have originally been intended as Saturday dinner, but I no longer remember that far back) just a while ago, and should have no trouble getting to sleep before the sun comes up, though if the toothache I had earlier comes back all bets are off. The ache, which cane as a surprise, was in a wisdom tooth which has never been a problem before. I do hope I won't have to be making any visits to a dentist. I'm definitely too old for that sort of thing, and what would be the point of sticking new teeth or repairs in the mouth of a decrepit guy with one foot in the grave?

But yeah, sleep soon, and hopefully through much of the hot day. Edging into triple digits again today and tomorrow, and nudging them later in the week, but the nights will not get sultry as they did in July and August. But we won't get any more autumnal weather until October, it appears. I was hoping for a bit of September rain, which we do get some years, but no luck. Even the first week of October will be balmy and dry, though with redeeming coolness at night. It would have been ideal for summer.

I hear a train coming. It will take about ten minutes to arrive, pass through town, and leave. It's very loud at night when the windows are open. they'll be open less in October, and I'm looing forward to that. I do enjoy nocturnal quiet, and the mini-metropolis grows noisier each year. I'm glad for my double-pane windows, and I'll be gladder when I can close them earlier once again.
